Religion is a place to hide from reality. That is my opinion. And in many cases it’s used as an escape by priests, clergy, bishops or “people of faith” who have fucked up. And there’s a big sign over that emergency exit; ‘Blame it on SATAN, The Great Tempter!’
Is there really anybody out there who truly believes in this crap? That Satan is the cause of these barbaric acts of cruelty and that it can be absolved with a simple Hail Mary? I honestly doubt it. It’s nothing but a convenient excuse to shove up our nose every time they get caught and have to apologize. Yeah, that’s right, an apology and all is right with the world! How fucking arrogant is that? And I’m sure that’s a consolation to all of those molested young boys and men out there too. NOT! In everybody else’s book, “Satan’s temptation” is referred to as a chemical reaction in the brain. Or more precisely, BEING HORNY you evil God forgotten hypocrites!
‘Liam McGlynn, a retired public official, thinks that it was no accident that so many child abusers found their way into the priesthood in Ireland. The prevalence of the problem, he says, suggests that there were “people who were aware that the best place to abuse children was under the cover of the church. What better cover could you hope for?”‘
And he is damned right, obviously. You can abuse, punish, steal and behave like the biggest asshole, as long as its done “within the walls” of God’s house. And yes, you should be a profound believer if you want to commit a sin, otherwise God will not lay his hand and absolve. It’s really sickening! Why doesn’t He lay a protective hand on the children and save them from the beasts for a change?
How many times have priests and their criminal actions reached the headlines? Everything from the cruel and distasteful act of child abuse, to committing fraud on the elderly. I don’t even want to think the about the number of acts that have not been reported or worse yet, the acts that have been reported and covered up as “classified.” Shivers run down my spine when I think of the untold cries for help and relief that never come. And of course this is not confined to the Vatican or within the walls of the largest Catholic churches. Oh, No. This slime reaches the smallest churches and congregations in neighborhoods near you.
I wonder if the Mighty Lord turns a deaf ear the minute the abuse begins so that He can ignore the cries for help and mercy. The pain and suffering from “his own children.” One could begin to think God likes to watch. Oh, sorry. That’s Satan! There is nothing “God” like about the Catholic church. It has been a breeding ground for deviants for centuries and will continue until the walls are torn down and the slime is exposed to the light of reality. The entire hierarchy of the Catholic church, including the Pope, should be cast out, stripped of their robes and power, never to feel the protection of the church again.
